About the Client
The client is a retailer of athletic goods. It is present in six countries with more than 100 stores. The company collaborates with international suppliers, conducts its own in-house research, design, production, and distribution, and markets its own brands directly to consumers.
Project Task
The Project Task was to understand the Sales performance for the 3 years. The company wanted to understand which products were performing better and constituted the major part of the revenue. They needed to see the time series analysis of the sales along with the regional sales analysis. This dashboard helped them in refining their production, distribution and marketing strategy.
Project Solution
Access to SQL server credentials was provided by the client. After studying the database structure and relationships between the tables, I created a data model to integrate the data. An interactive Power BI Dashboard was created with two pages, overview and management report. Through the dashboard, they can determine which chances are more advanced and ready for conversion by comparing actual performance to target performance. We can drill down into this data, so I’ll click on Europe, the dashboard will provide performance of that region. One can see the trends of profit and revenue over the last three years. The dashboard also identifies the categories that are performing well and their share in the overall revenue.
Outcome
The dashboard provided unique insights to the user to review and optimize their production, distribution and marketing strategy.
