About the Client
The client provides expert and reasonably priced staffing services through a network of knowledgeable, experienced partners. It has over 400 trained supply staff for the construction industry in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.
Goal of the project
The client wanted to analyze how efficiently they are fulfilling the supply staff demand and what are the demand and supply trends. They needed an interactive Power Bi Dashboard that has a live connection with their CRM (Hubspot) so as to identify their regional strengths and utilization of staff. They needed to see if they are overstaffed or understaffed. Their key KPI is fulfilment rate which is the ratio between the supply hours and the demand hours.
Project Details
The first step was understanding the needs of the client and detail review of the data structure of the organization. I then used SQL server to query the required tables from the hubspot database and then created a live connection with the power bi that refreshes the data daily. I then created relationships between tables, thereby creating dynamic visualizations. After meeting with the top management, the requested changes were recorded and made, and the dashboard was tested for accuracy and functionality for weeks. The management is now successfully using the dashboard and contacts if they want to add some KPIs and visuals.
Outcomes
The management was successfully able to identify the trends and shortcomings that they were facing. They could identify the regions that were performing well, and the ones which weren’t not. They identified the peak demand periods and gearing up to be well prepared for those.
Future Course
I am working on another dashboard for the same client to help them understand their market penetration.
